happy 4th of july
i tend to get pretty reflective during holidays, and the 4th of july is no different. i could easily (and have been known to) get on my soap box on this holiday - but i'm not going to. rather than point out what's wrong with our system, i'm going to choose to celebrate our amazing country, while hoping that one day soon we are able to realize the power in our unique position in the world and do what's right - for the people in our country, and the people in the world.
to my friends all over the country, take a moment today to think of all that makes us lucky to live in our country. happy 4th of july.
